Project Life, wk 1

If you look to your right you'll see an "I <3 Project Life" button.  Becky Higgins created an easy (and gorgeous) way to journal a year in the life.  Basically we take a picture a day--which to be honest we pretty much already did.  Except now, instead of just keeping them on the computer, we print them and put them in an album and jot a couple lines of journaling.  Can you imagine if you had one of these from when you were little?  Bill and I are already oohing and aahing over how freaking cool it is.  Here are the pictures we chose from this week.

Sunday--Bill & Asher helped out at the Interfaith Rotating Winter Shelter .  The cots are for the guests to sleep on.

Monday--Amelie and I were getting ready for bed.  She still sleeps in our bed.  Actually, she still sleeps in my arms.  all.  night.  long.  I've tried everything.  seriously.  The pediatrician says we can't attempt "cry it out" till the girl is at least six months old and that is all she says about the situation.  :)  I'm tired.

Tuesday--Bill works late on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the deal is that as soon as he comes home he has to go in and kiss Asher goodnight.  Sometimes he wakes up, sometimes he doesn't--but it is the ritual.

Wednesday--I had taken other pictures for this day, but then Little Miss FINALLY rolled over.  Asher rolled over on his three month bday--but he also consented to being out of my arms.... :)  Amelie managed to roll over in a fit of anger from being set down.  Her little body tensed up and bloop!  She still hasn't done it while happy.

Thrusday--okay, it's gross.  But it's real life.  Asher got sick :( and was sick the whole night.  double :(  It broke my heart to pieces because I had to let Bill do all the caregiving as the pediatrician said we had to do everything we could to keep Amelie from getting sick (she's been underweight and it would have been a not good situation for her).  So he and I split up and he didn't touch Amelie all night and I didn't touch Asher.  All I wanted was to hold him.

Friday--Happy Birthday phone call to my mom.

Saturday--Pirate!

Although, later Saturday night I took this one.
it's my favorite--you can see the kindness in Bill's eyes--my favorite part (well, one of my favorite parts) of him.  A couple other favorites.
